Number of Americans who believe that the economy is getting worse, according to a new Gallup poll, “the most negative reading in nearly six years.”
And all this besides record highs in the stock market, record CEO salaries, record profits for the oil companies, and no-bid contracts for The War on Terra.

It's also like they say over at the Gallup Poll:
...The last time Americans held such negative views was in early September 2001, just before the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11...
One does smell the change in the air again these days, but perhaps it's simply the tang of carbonic acid.
